Conditions of membership:
Membership in the Association is voluntary.
Any pharmaceutical company - legal entity active in discovery and development of newly invented chemical and biological entities, therapeutic treatment procedures and/or their producing or importing may become a member of the Association.

Membership in international associations:
SAFS is a member of the The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations EFPIA (www.efpia.org).

SAFS Mission
The mission of the Slovak Association of Research Based Pharmaceutical Companies (SAFS) is to foster the economic, legal, and professional interests of its members and contribute to a better understanding of all the issues of pharmaceutical research and new drugs development.

One of the main objectives of the SAFS is also to promote the implementation of transparent principles, procedures, and the criteria of the registration, categorisation, and reimbursement of drugs so that all manufacturers have equal conditions and to minimise the scope for any unethical interests and corruption.
